Toronto – the largest city in Canada – is brimming with attractions and has so much to offer visitors of all ages.

One of the best ways of seeing the sights of the city is by taking a tour. There are various tours you can join, using different modes of transport. There are walking tours, bike tours, bus tours, cruises, helicopter tours and more!

The city of Toronto has many neighbourhoods, some of which you will want to explore during your stay in Canada. For example, there’s the Entertainment District, Fashion District, Portugal Village, Old Town, Greektown, Harbourfront, The Beaches, Kensington Market, Little Poland, Little India, Little Italy, Toronto Islands and more!

Toronto Islands are well worth a visit. The islands can be easily reached by taking one of the ferries that run from the mainland. Ferries go to Hanlan’s Point, Centre Island and Ward’s Island. You will also get the chance to enjoy some great views of Toronto during the ferry trip. What’s more, the islands are car-free zones, so you really can escape the hustle and bustle of traffic and enjoy some relaxation. Why not hire a bike and see the island on two wheels?

Toronto is also a great place to shop, with shopping centres, stores, specialty shops, markets etc.

Be sure to check out St. Lawrence Market during your stay. Here you can buy all your provisions for your self catering holiday! There’s bread, dairy produce, fruit, vegetables, meat and a host of other products available, which are ideal to take back to your holiday property rental. This will give you the chance to cook some delicious meals in your holiday home. Although you will no doubt also want to sample some of the tasty food in the many restaurants in the city.

There’s a good selection of places where you can dine out in Toronto. In fact, you will be spoilt for choice by the variety of restaurants here. Whatever your taste, you will be well catered for. Some of the cuisines available include Chinese, Thai, French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Vegetarian, Indian, Seafood, Mediterranean and, of course, Canadian/American.
